Saturday, June 3, 7:30 p.m. The Slippery Rock Trio Violin, Cello, Piano Warren Davidson, conductor of the Slippery Rock Symphony Orchestra, Paula Tuttle, graduate of Eastman School of Music and faculty at Carnegie Mellon and Duquesne University, and Dr. Nanette Kaplan Solomon, with music degrees from Yale and Boston University. Saturday, June 10, 7:30 p.m. The Monongahela Trio Flute, Cello, Piano Dorothy Skidmore, a Fulbright grant winner, William Skidmore, professor of cello at WVU, and Carol Beall, former soloist with the Eastman Wind Ensemble, have performed together since 1994. Saturday, June 17, 7:30 p.m. Hasse Borup & Mary Kathleen Ernst Violin, Piano Dr. Borup has performed extensively throughout Europe and the U.S., and was the first Dane to win the prestigious International Yamaha Music Prize; Ms. Ernst has commissioned and premiered a number of new works for piano and has won top prizes in both Spain and the U.S. Works by J. Saturday, June 24, 7:30 p.m. Rossignol Baroque/Renaissance Instruments Stewart Carter, musicologist on faculty at Wake Forest University, Patricia Peterson, Director Emerita of the Amherst Early Music Festival, and Douglas Young, singer and instrumentalist, form the trio, Rossignol. Saturday, July 15, 7:30 p.m. Lomazov/Rackers Piano 4 Hands Marina Lomazov and Joseph Rackers both hold Doctor of Musical Arts degrees in Piano Performance & Literature from Eastman School of Music, and currently serve on the piano faculty at the University of South Carolina School of Music. They have performed together since 1999, most recently for the International Master Class in Piano in Varna, Bulgaria. Works by Stravinsky, Schubert and Bizet. Saturday, July 22, 7:30 p.m. Eun-Suk Jung Piano recital A native of South Korea, Dr. Jung has won several music competitions in the U.S., and played many solo piano recitals during her career. Saturday, August 12, 7:30 p.m. Covington String Quartet Violin, Violin, Viola, Cello In residence at the F. William Sunderman Conservatory at Gettysburg College, the Covington String Quartet comprises Greg Pinney, Luke Wedge, William Hurd, and Frank McKinster. Saturday, August 26, 7:30 p.m. James Miltenberger Jazz Quintet Piano, Bass, Drums, Saxophone, Flute, Voice Dr. James Miltenberger has performed extensively as a soloist in the U.S., Europe, and Japan, and serves on the music faculty at West Virginia University. Schrock Memorial Programs Saturday, September 23, 7:30 p.m. Bobby Mitchell Piano recital First Prize winner of the 2005 Garrison Piano Competition and recipient of awards from the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition and the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts, Bobby Mitchell is currently studying music at the prestigious Eastman School of Music.
