Saturday, June 16, 7:30 p.m. Messaien’s “Quartet for the End of Time” - West Virginia Chamber Ensemble Violin, Cello, Clarinet, Piano Olivier Messaien’s apocalyptic work was composed and first performed in the Stalag VIII prison camp in 1941. The ensemble comprises West Virginia University music faculty Margaret Cooper, William Skidmore, John Weigand, and James Miltenberger. Sponsor: Allegany College Of Maryland
