AREA STUDENTS RECEIVE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR PRIVATE MUSIC LESSONS
Grant provided through Naylor Family Trust Fund

GRANTSVILLE – Twenty-three students have received scholarships for Private Music Lessons in 2012, according to Music at Penn Alps.

The awards are made possible by a grant from the Community Trust Foundation‘s Naylor Family Trust Fund. Scholarship recipients are as follows:

Caleb Carter is the son of Rob and Dawn Custer of Bedford, Pennsylvania. He attends Bedford High School. He is studying guitar with Jody Mosser at Tri-State Community School for the Arts in Cumberland.
Meghan Coburn is the daughter of Robert and Lynn Coburn of Frostburg. She attends Mountain Ridge High School where she studies saxophone with William Green, Jr.
Tyler Corwell is the son of Jennifer Mollure of Frostburg. He attends Frankfurt Intermediate School. He is studying guitar with Jody Mosser, Tri-State Community School for the Arts in Cumberland.
Abigail Craddock is the daughter of Ken and Bobbi Craddock of Ridgeley, West Virginia. She attends Frankfurt Intermediate School. She studies piano with Amy Riffle-Kouyeas, Tri-State Community School for the Arts in Cumberland.
Emma Craddock is the daughter of Ken and Bobbi Craddock of Ridgeley, West Virginia. She attends Frankfurt Intermediate School. She studies piano with Amy Riffle-Kouyeas, Tri-State Community School for the Arts in Cumberland.
Nicholas Cross is the son of Jodie Thompson of Cumberland. He is homeschooled and studies percussion with Jeff Ward, Tri-State Community School for the Arts in Cumberland.
Levi Custer is the son of Rob and Dawn Custer of Bedford, Pennsylvania. He attends Discovery Time Elementary School. He studies piano with Dr. Jim Lyons, Tri-State Community School for the Arts in Cumberland.
Silas Custer is the son of Rob and Dawn Custer of Bedford, Pennsylvania. He attends Discovery Time Elementary School. He studies percussion with Jeff Ward, Tri-State Community School for the Arts in Cumberland.
Elizabeth Green is the daughter of Steve and Coelian Green of McHenry, Maryland. She attends Northern Garrett High School. She studies bassoon with Joe McDaniel of Grantsville.
Eliza Griffith is the daughter of Amanda Griffith of Frostburg. She attends Beall Elementary School. She studies piano with Betty Hadidian of Cumberland.
Mallory Heinrich is the daughter of Todd and Colleen Heinrich of Cumberland. She attends Allegany High School. She studies clarinet with Jean Miller of Cumberland.
Seth Higson is the son of Ted and Mary Jane Higson of Cumberland. He attends Bishop Walsh. He studies guitar with Jody Mosser, Tri-State Community School for the Arts in Cumberland.
Trinity Hillegas is the daughter of Wendy Winter of Cumberland. She attends Northeast Elementary School. She studies voice with Amy Riffle-Kouyeas, Tri-State Community School for the Arts in Cumberland.
Hanna Livingston is the daughter of Kerry and Cindy Livingston of Frostburg. She attends Mt. Savage Middle School. She studies violin with Charlene Moon of Frostburg.
Kristin Loar is the daughter of David and Sharon Loar of Romney, West Virginia. She attends Hampshire High School. She studies clarinet with Jean Miller of Cumberland.
Micah Ludwick is the son of Roger and Theresa Ludwick of Cumberland. He is homeschooled. He studies piano with Gwen Harris of LaVale.
Stephanie Mace is the daughter of Gregory and Kimberly Mace of Fort Ashby, West Virginia. She attends Frankfurt High School. She studies clarinet with Jean Miller of Cumberland.
Robert Moffett is the son of Todd and Janelle Moffett of LaVale, Maryland. He attends Cash Valley Elementary School. He studies piano with Joan DeVee Dixon of Frostburg.
Chloe Richards is the daughter of Tom and Toni Richards of Frostburg. She is homeschooled. She studies piano with Ann Rebuck of Cumberland.
Noah Richards is the son of Tom and Toni Richards of Frostburg. He is homeschooled. He studies piano with Ann Rebuck of Cumberland.
Rachel Roberts is the daughter of Rebecca Hyde of Frostburg. She attends Mountain Ridge High School where she studies saxophone with William Green, Jr.
Eliza Taylor is the daughter of Jack and Laura Taylor of Frostburg. She attends Mountain Ridge High School where she studies trombone with Brian Plitnik.
Susan Zoller is the daughter of Rebecca Zoller of Cumberland. She attends Allegany High School. She studies piano with Betty Hadidian of Cumberland.

Music at Penn Alps Music at Penn Alps is a summer series of classical, Saturday evening concerts. Artists include international musicians as well as local and regional performers. Most concerts are held in the Great Hall of Penn Alps which is part of the Penn Alps Restaurant, Crafts Shop and Spruce Forest Artisan Village, east of Granstville.

Scholarship recipients will be featured in an awards recital at Music at Penn Alps in Grantsville on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 3pm. They will also perform in the Piano Auditions and Honors Recitals at Frostburg State University on April 14 and 15.
